Transaction Pro Importer for QuickBooks Online Options

QuickBooks Online > Intuit App Center - Transaction Pro Importer for QuickBooks Online
In case you did not notice we have a few options that you can select within the Transaction Pro Importer for QuickBooks Online App.  Scroll to the bottom of the web page and look for the options button below the Data Mapped to QuickBooks Online grid.  Below are some brief descriptions of the various options.
  • Let QuickBooks Auto-Assign Estimate/Invoice/Journal Entry/Sales Receipt Numbers
Selecting this option ignores the values of the RefNumber field and tells QuickBooks to assign the next in sequence number. The Custom transaction numbering option in QuickBooks must be turned off for this feature to function properly. A RefNumber value is required for each row regardless of checking this option.
  • Enable Account Numbers on Transactions
If you are using Account Numbers in QuickBooks and want Transaction Pro to reference the number rather than the name, check this option.
  • Do not update address on Customer/Vendor during import
Checking this option instructs Transaction Pro to bypass updating information on the customer and vendor when importing a transaction.
  • Enable XML Troubleshooting Log
Checking this option instructs Transaction Pro to include an XML troubleshooting log that can be accessed via a checkbox on the import log screen. This log is useful for troubleshooting failed imports.
  • Cross Reference customer name with resale number on sales transactions
If your customers are stored under one name or number in your source file, and a different name in your QuickBooks Online file, you can check this box to map the customer field to the resale number in QuickBooks.  Transaction Pro automatically finds and returns the customer name in place of the resale number if a match is found. First be sure you have entered the value from your import file in the QuickBooks resale Number field (on the Tax Info tab). Next map the field in your import file that contains this value to the Customer field. TPI will then lookup this value and replace your account number with the actual customer name during import. If no match is found for a certain customer resale number the validation log will appear and those resale numbers must be entered for the corresponding customer before a successful import can be performed.
  • Cross Reference vendor name with account number on purchase transactions
If your vendors are stored under one name or number in your source file, and a different name in your QuickBooks Online file, you can check this box to map the vendor field to the account number in QuickBooks.  Transaction Pro automatically finds and returns the vendor name in place of the account number if a match is found. First be sure you have entered the value from your import file in the QuickBooks Account # field. Next map the field in your import file that contains this value to the Vendor/Payee field. TPI will then lookup this value and replace your account number with the actual vendor name during import. If no match is found for a certain vendor account number the validation log will appear and those account numbers must be entered for the corresponding vendor before a successful import can be performed.
