There are two different tax models in QuickBooks Online one if for US users and then there is another tax model for non US users. Information on how to map your tax information for both scenarios are detailed below:
US QuickBooks Online Users
QuickBooks Field on Mapping Screen
Location on the Transaction in QuickBooks Online
Footer of transaction – value populated in sales tax box.
Include the name of the sales tax item only do not include the percentage which is in brackets.
Tax column on the body of the transaction.
To check the box supply: 1, -1, t, true, y, yes. If you do not want to check this box, leave this field blank.
Dollar amount of the tax in the footer of the transaction.
A TaxRate is also required when mapping to this field.
Non US QuickBooks Online Users
Tax or VAT column in the body of the transaction. Please note that the Intuit QuickBooks API does not allow developers to set tax amounts.
Exclusive of Tax.
Inclusive of Tax
Out of scope of VAT
Dropdown box on header of transaction called Amounts Are.
1, -1, true, y, yes, tax included
0, f, false, n, no taxexcluded
